Rick Zapf:
Rick Zapf received his bachelors in psychology from Texas Tech University. He then received his masters of science in psychology with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio. Rick is currently licensed as a marriage and family therapist and is also a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and San Antonio Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Rick has been an active member in the Boerne area serving various groups to help children and their families. Rick also has worked most recently as the Assistant Director of Children's Ministry at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Boerne.
Rick’s training in graduate school and his life enables him to work effectively with very different clients. Rick enthusiastically loves to work with children and teenagers; helping them and especially the parents through tough or uncertain times. Rick also enjoys working with families and individuals, being able to listen to each perspective and identify a common direction or perspective that could be helpful for the situation. Most of all, Rick incorporates empathy and sincere caring for each client walking in the door. It doesn't matter whether Rick is coloring on the floor with a young child or mediating a couple during a tough separation -- being fully present, listening to the client's needs, and being helpful makes a difference.

Amy Zapf:
Amy Zapf is the owner and academic consultant of Interactive Counseling & Consulting Services. She services students kindergarten through fifth grade. Amy is certified in early childhood and elementary education. She was a teacher for Northside Independent School District for six years. During her first year of teaching, she was awarded First Year Teacher of the Year. She has been helping students succeed for 8 years! Amy enjoys working with children and thrives on helping parents enrich their child's future. Amy tutors students in a private one-on-one setting and creates lessons to meet their individual needs. She works closely with parents and teachers to help her students become academically successful. Amy enjoys working with children and making a difference in their lives!
