After a decade of work counseling in Boerne, Rick is transitioning to a new job as a youth minister. Rick will continue to service clients on Fridays only, especially enjoying the families with children and teens that need his help the most!
Our therapist at Interactive Counseling is Rick Zapf, MS, LMFT, BCPC, CRS. His training enables him to assist clients with most any issue. Rick enjoys working with couples, individuals, children, adolescents, and families to make positive change occur. (Click here for a detailed list of issues Rick has helped others with.) Rick genuinely cares about each client and strives to make counseling a positive and comfortable experience. His specialization in Marriage & Family Therapy gives him unique and extensive training and tools to work specifically with family and couples issues. He also has earned the distinction excellence from the APA as a Board Certified Professional Counselor and a Certified Relationship Specialist.
Rick has extensively worked with teenagers and helped parents in raising their children. Rick has written books and workbook with Z1 Publications and is a national speaker on parenting today.

Insurance Billing or Private Pay is accepted for counseling services. We may be able to bill your insurance as an Out-of-Network Provider if we are not listed as an in-network provider. Ask Rick regarding your billing options. If you do not wish to bill your insurance we accept private pay or can set an affordable payment plan to make counseling reasonable and affordable for you. Talk to Rick about considerations when having to bill your insurance company.
